  • Hi I have been playing pool every day now for at least 3-4 hours for the past 4 months and still cant get enough of it! Now here is the funny thing i am 19 and started playing when i was 9. I am right eye dominant but have always shot left handed so do to a excellent local player who overheard me pretty much made me switch to right hand. now im even more addicted to the game and just cant seem to find a instructor even relatively close. If any one knows of some one in my area who would be able to help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks-Frank

  • On draw shots I find that when I try to keep my cue level I frequently hit the side of the table with the knuckles of my stroke hand. If I raise my stroke hand I frequently miscue by having the cue go airborne. Any suggestions?
    - Rob Calderone, Womelsdorf,PA
  • Rob, this is very complicated. I need to see you in school to really help. Try these suggestions. First, don't try to keep your cue level, that's impossible. In a pendulum stroke the cue levels out at the bottom of the swing, right when you strike the cueball. Second, make sure you elbow doesn't move during your stroke. Third, bring your back hand to your chest at the end of the shot.

  • I'm not a good player but, I seen two items on ebay by people with systems they made up for aiming for sale. I thought my own up but have not tried it out yet and would like to know if I have to do anything else to it? What I'm thinking is if a player were to draw/aim an imaginary line between the object ball and the object pocket they know where to hit the object ball to pocket it. Then take the line's angle between the object ball and object pocket and put it on the center of the cue ball. Where the line contacts the outside of the cue ball is the point that has to contact the point found on the object ball to pocket it. The player would have to imagen a line from that point to the point they first found on the object ball when aim the cue stick to make the shot.

  • Sounds like a very nice aiming system. I think you should experiment with your system and report back to us.
