- What are the rules for clear shots? And is that a actual rule? (meaning opponent shoots for his ball but the cue ball touches his ball and my ball at the same time. Is that a foul?)

- When the cue ball contacts a legal object ball and an illegal object ball simultaneously it is considered a good hit

- After a players clears their designated color and shots for the eight ball and scratches but at the same time does not pocket the eight ball! is that a lose of game or does the opponent get to spot the cue ball?

- To my knowledge, there are no 3-Ball rules published in any of the known rule books.

- During a game of 8 ball can an opponent play a combination shot where the object ball bounces off of an opponents group ball and then into the desired pocket?

- Yes, but it should be indicated to you before the shot, and the word for this type of shot is carom, or caroming.
