- It's 8 ball and after the break I'm established as solids. I want the cue ball to strike the 2 ball and that ball to strike the 5 ball causing it to go into the called pocket. Is the 2 ball or the 5 ball the object ball? By rule, do I need to state this shot progression to my opponent prior to making the shot or do I merely announce "5 in the called pocket"?
Ron

- according to BCA rules is the 8 ball required to be pocketed "clean" making no other contact with any other ball on the table
- jeremy wiggins, ringgold
- No, as long as the 8-ball is pocketed in the pocket that was called, it is a legal shot. It does not have to go in "clean".
